On April 24, 2023, JAC President Mr. Va Kora attended a JETRO workshop at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, focusing on “Green Industry and SME Development in Cambodia.” This event contributed valuable insights to the ASEAN-Japan Co-creation Vision draft.
Mr. Va Kora emphasized the importance of collaboration between Japan and Cambodia in the circular economy, especially recycling businesses. He stressed the need for policy makers and stakeholders from all ASEAN countries and Japan to unite and discuss the promotion of recycling businesses, as environmental concerns affect everyone, not just individual nations.
By leveraging Japan’s advanced technologies and Cambodia’s abundant resources, such as low-cost labor and available land, this collaboration can become a practical model of open innovation between the two countries.
