On February 16, 2023, the JAC Japan Desk hosted a meeting with the JICA Tokyo Center and a number of Japanese companies seeking expansion opportunities in Cambodia.
Mr. Va Kora, the president of JAC, Mr. Chan Visal (Vice President and Director of JAC Japan Desk), Mr. Kong Samloth (JAC director), Ms. Heang Siphon (JAC Japan Desk), and Mr. Tann Tourthang joined the meeting. And, there were representatives from JICA Tokyo Center, the CEO of MARUBISHI Denshi Co., Ltd., the president of TAIYOUKINZOKU Co., Ltd., and the representative director of Shinei Inner Fashion Co., Ltd.
JAC shared information on its history, members, and activities, particularly the mission of JAC Japan Desk, which is a body of JAC to facilitate and provide consultation to Japanese companies who are exploring or are already conducting business in Cambodia. During the meeting, there was also a group discussion on specific industries and topics.
The meeting was productive, and the Japanese companies said they loved Cambodia and saw the potential for rapid economic growth, promising to return next time for further exploration.
