TYCA Outline
Toshiba Youth Club Asia (TYCA) is a unique program that aims at fostering a network of next-generation Asian leaders with a long-term vision to create the future of Asia and the sustainable society. Selected high school students from ASEAN countries and from Japan will be invited to participate in an all-expense paid, one-week exchange program in Tokyo.
During this program, students will be immersed in a broad range of opportunities to learn and appreciate each other’s culture to sustain diversity of the Asian region; to think about the role of science and technology for social innovation; to discuss how they can effectively share wisdom and resources of each country to secure sound economic and social development of the region, overcoming energy and environmental issues, as well as securing resilience against natural disasters. They will finally work together to create and propose the long-term vision of Asia toward 2030 and beyond, and how they can take the leadership to realize the vision.

Participation fee
Free. Flight tickets to and from Japan and all fee during the program will be prepared by the organizers.

Who can Apply
Students who are aged between 15 and 18 years old and enrolled as high school students or as university students and a citizen of a participating country at the time of the Program (March 2024). Apart from that, interested applicants must be:
- Able to communicate and write essays in English
- Able to stay in Tokyo from 23rd – 30th March, 2024
- Students who are highly interested in Japan
- Students who have interest in promoting exchanges with other Asian countries for brighter future

Step 2 : Seek permission from your parents and your school (23rd – 30th March, 2024)
Step 3 : Fill the info here https://bit.ly/JACTYCA2024 and submit both “Entry Form” and “Essay Form” that you already fill in.
Note about the application
1. JAC was chosen as the collaborator for this program to choose the candidate from Cambodia.
2. Use of Generative AI for writing an essay is strictly prohibited.
2. If a selected student must withdraw from the program for non-emergency personal reasons, the students may be responsible for extra costs incurred.
